Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Signal Processing Engineer to design, implement and optimize software for radar signal processing and DSP pipelines. The role involves collaborating with hardware teams and leveraging GPU acceleration and AI tooling to speed up development while ensuring code accountability.

Applicants should have a Secret clearance and hands-on experience in C++, Python, Java, CUDA, and Linux, with knowledge of MatX and RF signal processing.

Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application.
  • 2 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s in Science; 4 additional years can substitute.
  • Experience with C++, Java, Python and CUDA.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Experience with RF signal processing.
  • Experience with GPU optimization.
  • Experience with NVIDIA MatX library.
  • Experience with AI tooling.
  • Experience with high-side development and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software, and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and hardware engineers.
  • Analyzes user needs and system capabilities; designs compilers/assemblers and operating systems.
  • Develops radar signal processing algorithms and pipelines (DSP) and uses toolchains such as DSP System Toolbox / Signal Processing Toolbox.
  • Demonstrates experience with GPGPU acceleration (e.g., CUDA) for performance-critical workloads.
  • Uses AI-enabled tooling to accelerate development tasks while maintaining accountability for reviewed code.
