OVERVIEW

Caribou Thunder is seeking a motivated RCS Modeling and Simulation Engineer 2. You’ll be responsible for developing, analyzing, and verifying Radar Cross Section (RCS) models and producing high-fidelity RCS signatures used in Ground Test event simulations for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Develop and validate RCS models and signatures for use in MDA Ground Test events
  2. Conduct Quality Control of RCS data and ensure verification and validation of simulation outputs
  3. Modify and adapt RCS models within the Threat Modeling Center's RCS generation framework
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams including engineers, software developers, and system integrators
  5. Prepare and maintain documentation related to RCS model usage in simulation environments

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 2 years of related experience OR Master’s Degree with no experience
  2. Strong understanding of radar systems, RCS phenomenology, and electromagnetic scattering
  3. Experience with CAD tools and missile system modeling
  4. Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience modeling missile RCS signatures
  2. Ability to run method of moments codes and develop FACET models from CAD
  3. Familiarity with High Performance Computing (HPC) environments
  4. Skills in reducing simulation outputs to RCS averages and scattering point representations
