Job summary

Tidelands Health in Myrtle Beach, SC, invites a Radiologic Technologist I to join a dedicated team. You will perform radiographic procedures with strong attention to ALARA principles, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort under the supervision of radiologists.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification, BLS within 30 days, and SC QA standards certification, plus at least one year of radiography experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum one (1) year Rad Tech experience.
• ARRT certification required; Basic Life Support within 30 days; SC Radiation Quality Standards Association certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care by educating and preparing patients for their procedure while utilizing effective communication.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety for the duration of their procedure.
• Obtain and document accurate patient medical history to assist radiologist’s interpretation.
• Position and instruct patient while utilizing protective shielding, immobilization, and supportive devices as required.
• Perform standard diagnostic radiographic procedures as required by physician’s order.
• Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures to include fluoroscopy, C-arm in the Operating Room, digital and mobile imaging at applicable locations.
• Select proper exposure factors of radiographic equipment for each examination.
• Completion of exam in hospital information system.
• Cleaning and maintaining all imaging equipment.
• May also assist with mentoring and/or training students, new hires.
