Job summary

Trinity Health is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for MercyOne Waukee Urgent Care Clinic. This full-time role performs radiology tests, supports patient care, and follows clinic protocols to ensure accurate results and efficient workflow.

Ideal candidates maintain an Iowa radiology permit, AMA approved two-year radiologic technology training, AART certification, and BLS. Shifts are 12 hours, 40 hours per week, with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Must have strong emergency care skills and ability to assess urgent needs
• Solid knowledge of radiologic theory, techniques and anatomy
• Experience with EMR systems, test results filing and billing processes preferred
• AMA approved two-year radiologic technology training and AART certification are required
• BLS for Healthcare Providers must be current or obtained within 3 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform radiology tests and procedures for patients of all ages
• Recognize urgent/emergency needs and initiate appropriate procedures
• Follow clinic EMR protocols for test results, filing, charging and record management
• Apply radiology skills under provider direction in a clinic setting
• Work hours: 40 hours/week, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend 8a-4p

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: MercyOne Waukee Urgent Care Clinic Opening in August We are hiring a Rad Tech!

As a Rad Tech, you will:

• Demonstrate the ability to recognize and assess urgent/emergency needs of patients and initiating appropriate emergency procedures as needed
• Follow clinic procedure/protocol for the organization and management of the electronic medical record (i.e. test results, retrieval, filing, creation, repair, charging of electronic medical record)
• Apply specialized radiology skills under the direction of a clinic provider in the care and treatment of patients in a clinic setting
• Perform a variety of routine and skilled radiology tests, diagnostic tests, or procedures to patients of all ages.
• Hours: 40 hours a week Shifts will typically be 12 hours, along with every other weekend from 8a-4p

Requirements:

• Must maintain State of Iowa permit to practice Radiology.
• Knowledge of Radiolgraphic theory and techniques, clinic policies and procedures and principles of anatomy.
• Work requires extensive technical or specialized training such as would be acquired in a college or technical school (i.e. completion of AMA approved two year training program in radiologic technology and AART certified).
• Clinic/Physician office experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population serve within three (3) months of h
