Responsibilities:

  1. Operate radiologic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic radiographs and perform routine diagnostic procedures following established standards and practices.
  2. Provide patient services using various imaging modalities.
  3. Offer patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
  4. Position patients, select appropriate protocols, and utilize all necessary equipment.
  5. Maintain competencies for all related tasks.
  6. Follow all established imaging protocols accurately.
  7. When performing exams in ICU or surgery, be accompanied by a staff technologist.
  8. Ensure quality age-specific care according to standards.
  9. Adhere to Radiation Safety Policies and dose reduction principles.
  10. Provide patient education and communication per standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Operate various types of x-ray equipment, including radiographic/fluoroscopy rooms and portable units.
  • Produce high-quality radiographic exams.
  • Deliver safe care in accordance with the Alwaysafe program.
  • Use AIDET with every patient encounter and be proficient in service recovery.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a 2nd-year student in an accredited radiological technology program.
  • No minimum experience required.
  • No licensure/certification required by law.
  • BLS certified.
