This position may work in one of the following modalities: Diagnostic, CT, IR, Mammography, MRI, or Nuclear Medicine.

Job Summary: Duties will be consistent with the modality in which the incumbent will be working. Candidates must meet the requirements of the modality in which they will be working. This position reports to the modality manager.

Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge in performing assigned modality imaging, adhering to department protocols and standards, and applying ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
  • Performs imaging exams suitable to the assigned modality in various settings.
  • Evaluates images for technical quality, performs post-processing, and ensures proper patient identification.
  • Provides optimal patient care, ensuring patient needs are met during procedures, and exemplifies Patient Family Centered care.
  • Applies patient safety principles and responds appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Adheres to aseptic techniques and hand hygiene policies.
  • Assists radiologists with procedures and protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Certifications
  • Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year in diagnostic imaging for CT, IR, Mammo, MRI.
  • No experience required for Nuclear Medicine.
Skills
  • Ability to operate modality imaging equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong patient/customer service skills.
