WellStar in Georgia seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures across ages, under supervision of a Radiologist or Manager, upholding ALARA and patient-centered care.

You will operate imaging equipment, evaluate image quality, ensure patient safety, and assist with procedures, while maintaining aseptic technique and following protocols.

Formación

• ARRT Radiography certification required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Excellent patient and customer service skills.

Responsabilidades

• Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams under supervision and adheres to ALARA.
• Evaluates image quality and ensures proper patient identification.
• Assists Radiologist with procedures and maintains aseptic technique.
• Upholds patient safety and reports emergencies per protocol.

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist performs a wide variety of Diagnostic Imaging procedures on patients of all ages to provide physicians with data for diagnostic purposes. This position works under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of Diagnostic Imaging while adhering to departmentprotocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self andothers. Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams in a variety of settings. Evaluates images for technical quality, performspost processing of data and ensures proper Patient identification is recorded. Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures and exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all. Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to emergency situations in an appropriate manner. Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique andhand washing policies. Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols. Other duties as assigned.
