Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a wide range of Diagnostic Imaging procedures on patients of all ages, under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager. You will apply ALARA principles and ensure patient safety while delivering compassionate care.

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist performs a wide variety of Diagnostic Imaging procedures on patients of all ages to provide physicians with data for diagnostic purposes. This position works under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of Diagnostic Imaging while adhering to department protocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self and others.
• Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams in a variety of settings.
• Evaluates images for technical quality, performs post processing of data and ensures proper Patient identification is recorded.
• Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient\'s needs during their procedures and exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all.
• Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to emergency situations in an appropriate manner.
• Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique and hand washing policies.
• Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Education:
