Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a wide range of Diagnostic Imaging procedures for patients of all ages. The role works under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager and emphasizes patient-centered care and safety.

The candidate will apply ALARA principles, ensure proper patient identification, and support radiology workflows across multiple settings while maintaining high-quality imaging data.

• Ability to operate Diagnostic Imaging equipment.
• Ability to communicate verbally and written.
• Possess excellent patient/customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging while adhering to protocol and ALARA.
• Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams in a variety of settings and evaluates image quality.
• Assists Radiologist with procedures and protocols and maintains patient safety.

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist performs a wide variety of Diagnostic Imaging procedures on patients of all ages to provide physicians with data for diagnostic purposes. This position works under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of Diagnostic Imaging while adhering to departmentprotocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self andothers. Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams in a variety of settings. Evaluates images for technical quality, performspost processing of data and ensures proper Patient identification is recorded. Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures and exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all. Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to emergency situations in an appropriate manner. Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique andhand washing policies. Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols. Other duties as assigned.
