Dignity Health – Arroyo Grande Community Hospital in Arroyo Grande, California, seeks a Radiologic Technologist II to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures with minimal supervision, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
The role covers CT, MRI, angiography and mammography, with duties in quality control, teaching students, and scheduling in the HIS system; collaboration with physicians is essential.
As our Radiologic Technologist II, you will perform all radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures at a technical level not requiring supervision to technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for specific radiographic procedures, angiography or cardiac cath procedures, CT or MRI procedures, and or mammography procedures.
Every day you will be expected to demonstrate proficiency and competence in all aspects of diagnostic radiology, fluoroscopy, surgery exams, and other applicable modality. Demonstrate competence in filming, processing, quality control. Able to teach students and new technologists. Demonstrate appropriate administering and monitoring of radiopaque material per guidelines. Identify and initiate accurate assessment of life‑threatening conditions. Assist in Imaging Services as needed, demonstrating competence in all areas or modalities assigned. Demonstrates technical knowledge of all imaging equipment in diagnostic radiology, surgery, and other assigned modalities. Places orders in HIS system, making all additions, corrections and cancellations as necessary.
