Job summary

John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio, CA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a variety of radiologic procedures on a night shift. You will learn and operate Cerner and McKesson PACS, ensure quality images, and assist the Radiologist with contrast administration.

The role requires CRT certification, California RHB, and BLS, with CT or special procedures experience preferred. Sign-on bonus up to $25,000 is available based on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current CRT—California Radiologic Health Branch (RHB) Certification.
• Current Fluoroscopy License required within one year of hire.
• Special procedures, CT experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Cath Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiological procedures under the Medical Director and Imaging Services leadership.
• Provide limited patient monitoring during procedures and assist with QA/QI studies.
• Schedule patients and monitor crash cart; learn and use Cerner and McKesson PACS.
• Complete portable X-ray imaging with minimal supervision and high diagnostic quality.
• Maintain equipment operation and calibration; follow sterile technique.
• Assist Radiologist with contrast administration and coordinate with physicians and staff.

Job Summary

Up to $25,000 Sign on Bonus (Based on years of experience)

Under the direction of the Medical Director, and in conjunction with the Administrative Director of Imaging Services performs various radiological procedures. These duties include, but are not limited to: limited monitoring of patients during procedures, performing some Specialized Radiologic procedures according to departmental protocols, working in various areas and with various equipment. Also assists with QA and QI studies, patient scheduling, and crash cart monitoring. Technologist is expected to learn and perform with our Cerner information system and complete studies in our McKesson PACS system. Position is expected to solve PACS during the shift. Technologists are to complete all portable Xrays ordered ready for shift. With limited supervision uses independent judgment and necessary skills in obtaining the best diagnostic images. Maintains and monitors equipment operation and calibration. Assists as needed in maintaining relationships with physicians and staff. Assists the Radiologist with contrast administration. Practices sterile technique and other duties as required.
