Job summary

Bay Area Hospital in Wyoming (Fort Bridger) seeks a Radiology Medical Imaging Tech I to perform a variety of imaging exams for patients of all ages and lead daily patient and department workflow.

Minimum experience is one year in a hospital setting; the role requires ARRT certification, BLS, and compliance with Image Wisely/Gently pledges. Training and rotation duties support a collaborative imaging team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited Radiology Technology program.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist’s certification (in relevant *modality).
• Current Oregon license or recent graduate of approved program and holds a valid temporary Oregon permit prior to taking ARRT registry. Registry must be obtained within a reasonable time period not to exceed one year (in relevant *modality).
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Image Wisely pledge certificate or must obtain within 30 days of hire date and annually by January 30 thereafter.
• Image Gently pledge certificate or must obtain within 30 days of hire date and annually by January 30 thereafter.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates imaging equipment for appropriate modality.
• Utilizes sound judgment in appropriate patient care, safety and infection control practices.
• Documents any pertinent information as appropriate.
• Consults Radiologist as needed.
• Reviews protocol forms to assure correct exam is performed.
• Interviews and screens patients, per protocol.
• Must be able to take call nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis including special procedures; must be within 20 minute travel time to the hospital.
• Assists in transporting patients.
• Monitors and manages IVs.
• Works closely with student coordinator, providing guidance to student externs as needed.
• Restocks and moves supplies.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES
