This position supports the delivery of individualized healthcare services to patients by assisting a registered radiologic technologist with limited radiographic procedures while adhering to safety protocols and procedures. The role collaborates with radiology team members to provide support to patients and physicians during visits, communicates with patients to ensure timely and accurate care, and maintains accurate documentation of medical information in the company’s data systems.
Education – High school diploma or equivalent. Current enrollment in good standing in an accredited Medical Imaging Program.
Work Experience – None.
Certifications – Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Heavy work – Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Duties routinely require exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent works in a patient care area, directly with patients, and may be exposed to communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste.
