Job summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diverse radiology procedures using ionizing radiation, ensuring patient safety and ALARA compliance. You will manage equipment, maintain professional relationships with staff, and may work across Ocala Health facilities as needed.

Qualified candidates hold ARRT-R Radiography and RT credentials, with a vocational or associate degree. BCLS is required within 30 days of starting work.

Qualifications

• BCLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-R Radiography certification required.
• RT Radiologic Technologist certification required.
• Graduation from vocational school or an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical radiology procedures using ionizing radiation to detect pathology.
• Regulates equipment and exposure to x-ray cassettes and image receptors.
• Operates equipment safely, maintaining ALARA standards during procedures.
• Establishes professional rapport with colleagues and medical staff.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Regulates the equipment used to expose the x-ray cassette. Operates equipment safely and maintains A.L.A.R.A. standards while performing all types of procedures. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff. May be required to work at Ocala Regional Hospital, West Marion Community Hospital, or The Free Standing Emergency Department.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-R) Radiography
• (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
• Vocational School Graduate, or Associate Degree
