BallenIsles Country Club is seeking a Full-Time Racquets Professional to deliver high-quality tennis and pickleball instruction to our members and guests. You will teach private and group lessons, run ladies clinics, junior programs, and design, plan, and implement engaging tennis programs and special events.

Three to five years of racquets instruction experience is preferred, with CPR/First Aid and Teaching Certification in tennis and pickleball.

Competenze

• Three to five years related experience as a racquets professional/instruction; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to string racquets is preferred but not required.

• Supervises all tennis and pickleball play and proper charging of fees, and rental of equipment.
• Initiates and promotes tennis and pickleball clinics, special events and programs in an effort to attract and maintain members’ interests.
• Provides beginning through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels of players.
• Implements and develops lesson programs for adults and juniors.
• Enforces all club rules and regulations governing the use of the club/facility, its equipment and other property.
• Properly represents the club in state or national events as time will permit.
• Ensures proper inspection of the courts/facilities on a daily basis prior to the start of play and ascertain that all necessary maintenance has been performed and the courts are in a safe working order.
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

General Purpose:

The Racquets Professional responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, teaching lessons and clinics to ladies teams, private lessons and junior’s players. Designs, plans and implements tennis programs to include special events and clinics.

Essential Duties:

• Supervises all tennis and pickleball play and proper charging of fees, and rental of equipment.
• Initiates and promotes tennis and pickleball clinics, special events and programs in an effort to attract and maintain members’ interests.
• Provides beginning through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels of players.
• Implements and develops lesson programs for adults and juniors.
• Enforces all club rules and regulations governing the use of the club/facility, its equipment and other property.
• Properly represents the club in state or national events as time will permit.
• Ensures proper inspection of the courts/facilities on a daily basis prior to the start of play and ascertain that all necessary maintenance has been performed and the courts are in a safe working order. Reports any maintenance problems to the department manager or Maintenance Manager.
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.

Education/Experience:

• Three to five years related experience as a racquets professional/instruction; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to string racquets is preferred but not required.

Certificates/Licenses:

CPR, First Aid Certification, Teaching Certification (Tennis and pickleball)

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
• Possess U.S.T.A. rating of 4.5 or better.

Compensation:

$16/h plus commission BOE
