Job summary

Pinehurst LLC seeks a Racquets Assistant to support the Head Pickleball professional and the Director of Racquets in managing tennis and pickleball programs. The role balances energy between both sports and reports to the Head Pickleball Professional.

Ideal candidates will hold a high school diploma, demonstrate organization skills, and be an advanced 4.0 NTRP/PPA player with teaching experience in both sports. CPR/AED/First Aid certifications are required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma and some past job organization skills.
  • Must be at least an advanced intermediate player in tennis and pickleball (4.0 NTRP/PPA minimum) and have some teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct players in tennis and pickleball to improve skills.
  • Provide pro shop coverage when needed and assist in retail initiatives.
  • Assist in utilizing marketing resources across the property and report budget planning to management.
  • Support program and event initiatives and maintain positive racquets community status.

SUMMARY

The Racquets Assistant is responsible to assist the Head Pickleball professional and the Director of Racquets in all aspects of the pickleball and tennis programs. This position will report to the Head Pickleball Professional and balance energy in both sports.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent, and have shown some past job organization skills. Must be at least an advanced intermediate player in both tennis and pickleball (4.0 NTRP/PPA minimum) and have some teaching experience in both sports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Must maintain CPR/AED/First Aid Certifications.
  • Learn and help implement reservation and POS systems.
  • Provide pro shop coverage where needed.
  • Assist in retail initiatives.
  • Assist in utilizing and promoting the marketing resources throughout the property.
  • Assist reporting manager on budget planning, implementation, and adherence.
  • Assist in all program and event initiatives.
  • Effectively instruct players on how to play tennis/pickleball and improve their skill level. This includes balanced teaching efforts in both sports where needed.
  • Provide member ratings, as requested, based on skill level.
  • Maintain a positive playing status in the racquets community.
  • Attend appropriate departmental meetings as needed.
  • Assist with all court maintenance activities.
