Job summary

U-Pull-&-Pay LLC is seeking a Rack Operator to safely operate and maintain rack systems used to process vehicles for recycling. You will ensure vehicles are drained, secured, and prepared for dismantling while upholding safety and environmental standards.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork in an outdoor industrial setting. Prior experience with hand/power tools and basic automotive knowledge is preferred; bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

General automotive mechanical knowledge.
Experience using hand and power tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor industrial environment.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer and mobile device skills.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

Promote a “Safety First” culture and environmental stewardship.
Operate racks, hand tools, and fixed equipment.
Safely secure vehicles on racks and remove fluids, catalytic converters, and designated parts.
Inspect and maintain tools and equipment; report needed repairs to supervisors.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Support vehicle preparation and ensure accurate inventory tracking.
Work collaboratively with teammates to meet daily goals.
Follow company policies, safety procedures, and dress code (PPE).
Commit to standard production hours (Mon–Fri) with occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays.
