Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be an experienced rider and have a pony rider license.
• Able to catch loose or troubled horses while maintaining control.
• Knowledge of the Rules of Racing.
• Must qualify for an Outrider license with Racing Commission.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Professional appearance as per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety for personnel, guests and horses on track.
• Enforces Racing Commission Rules of Racing on duty.
• Leads/post parade and keeps horses in line for the start.
• Assists opening training hours and horse handling as needed.
• Responds to on-track incidents and aids horse ambulance if needed.
• Supervises riders and pony personnel on track.
• Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
