Job summary

Solitude Mountain Resort seeks a Seasonal Competition Crew Lead to oversee a team that sets up, tears down, and maintains race venues, fencing, timing systems and staging areas. You will support mountain operations during competitions and assist with guest services outdoors in all weather conditions.

The role requires Thursdays through Sundays from December to April, strong teamwork, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook. Base pay is $25.00/hour, with seasonal, full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Availability on all Thursdays through Sundays from December through April.
• Advanced skiing/riding ability on groomed and ungroomed terrain.
• Ability to load/unload chairlifts and ski carrying heavy loads.
• Desire and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good communication, organization and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of racecourse equipment and tools.
• Schedule staff in line with operational needs and budget.
• Coordinate staff during races and events.
• Set up and maintain a dual GS/SL course for NASTAR/group races.
• Operate race finish area and timing equipment with safety.
