Hendrick Motorsports is seeking a Spring 2027 Project and Race Support Engineer Intern. The role supports race engineers on various tasks and leads independent projects during race weekends.

The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of vehicle dynamics, data analysis, and project management, with strong organizational and communication skills. This paid internship requires availability weekdays and occasional weekend support during practice, qualifying, and races.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 4-year program pursuing an Engineering related degree.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Must be at least a junior or third-year student in the degree program.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to plan and execute projects.
• Track and report project progress.
• Perform and assist in data collection, spreadsheet creation, data analysis, and reporting.
• Create basic tools to support race day activities
• Support race teams through reports, data analytics, and other tasks before, during, and after races
• Assist with pre-event, event, and post-event reports
• Support race day team activities
