Job summary

Agility Partners is seeking a Business Analyst to support our Resource Adequacy (RA) and Demand Response (DR) product teams. You will bridge business needs, regulatory requirements, and technology solutions by translating complex requirements into clear, actionable user stories.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, UX/CX, developers, and stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet compliance obligations and deliver customer value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Energy Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in a technical environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, translating rules into requirements.
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting Agile/Scrum teams.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support our Resource Adequacy (RA) and Demand Response (DR) product teams. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business needs, regulatory requirements, and technology solutions by translating complex requirements into clear, actionable user stories. You'll collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX/CX teams, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that support compliance obligations and provide value to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate complex business, regulatory, and market requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document requirements.
• Create and maintain process documentation, workflows, and business requirements to support product development.
• Analyze regulatory and market changes, identify business impacts, and translate those impacts into product enhancements and future roadmap items.
• Manage and prioritize product backlogs in alignment with business objectives, compliance deadlines, and product strategy.
• Support Agile delivery activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and other Scrum ceremonies.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure requirements are fully understood and implemented successfully.
• Help drive continuous improvement of business processes and product capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Energy Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in a technical environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business rules into actionable requirements.
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting Agile/Scrum development teams.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience with Agile project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Miro, and Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting Resource Adequacy, Demand Response, energy market, utility, or grid operations initiatives.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance processes and market structures within the energy industry.
• Familiarity with forecasting, capacity planning, demand response operations, or distributed energy resource programs.
