Job summary

LifeGift is currently looking for a Tissue Donation Specialist in Fort Worth, Texas. You will support LifeGift by facilitating the recovery process of bone and other tissues and organs under highly sterile conditions to be processed and distributed for transplant and/or research.

This role requires frequent travel to hospital partners within our service area and willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or four years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform aseptic recovery of all tissues according to LifeGift policies and procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation during the procurement process and provide necessary data to maintain organization records.
• Perform donor identification, reconstruction and postmortem body preparation and assist with clean-up of the operating room and/or recovery area.
• Arrange for courier pick-up of tissue and paperwork specific to tissue.
• Train new tissue recovery personnel as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
