Job summary

LifeGift in Fort Worth, Texas seeks a Tissue Donation Specialist to support the tissue recovery process under sterile conditions. The role involves donor identification, aseptic tissue recovery, and postmortem prep, with travel to hospital partners within the service area.

Must have a related field degree or 4+ years of clinical experience and be able to obtain Hospital Badge and EMR access. Typical duties include maintaining procurement documentation, coordinating courier pickups, and training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or four years of clinical experience.
• Role requires frequent travel to hospital partners and the ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to attain Hospital Badge and EMR Access from LifeGift Hospital Partners.

Responsibilities

• Perform aseptic recovery of all tissues according to LifeGift policies and procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation during the procurement process and provide data to maintain organization records.
• Perform donor identification, reconstruction and postmortem body preparation and assist with OR cleanup.
• Arrange for courier pick-up of tissue and paperwork specific to tissue.
• Train new tissue recovery personnel as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

LifeGift is currently looking for a Tissue Donation Specialist inFort Worth, Texas.Are you someone that will support LifeGift by facilitating the recovery process of bone and other tissues and organs under highly sterile conditions to be processed and distributed for transplant and/or research.

Do you possess the attributes to be a successful Tissue Donation Specialistand perform the following essential functions?

• Perform aseptic recovery of all tissues according to LifeGift policies and procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation during the procurement process and provide necessary data to maintain organization records.
• Perform donor identification, reconstruction and postmortem body preparation and assist with clean-up of the operating room and/or recovery area.
• Arrange for courier pick-up of tissue and paper work specific to tissue.
• Train new tissue recovery personnel as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Do you have the education and experience to be a Tissue Donation Specialist?

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or four years of clinical experience.

This role requires frequent travel and ability to commute to different hospital partners within our service area, as well as the availability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
