In this role, you'll be a vital part of the surgical team, ensuring every tool, instrument, and detail is in place for complex, high-tech procedures like robotic surgeries and joint replacements. You'll help maintain the highest standards of surgical asepsis, anticipate surgeon needs in real time, and bring a steady hand and clear mind to an ever-changing surgical environment.
What You'll Do:Prepare and organize specialized surgical instruments and equipment - especially for robotic and advanced surgical procedures.
Scrub in for a wide variety of complex procedures and actively anticipate the surgical team's needs.
Maintain strict adherence to surgical asepsis and safety protocols.
Stay alert and adaptable as you respond to rapidly changing patient conditions or procedure needs.
Support a high-performing team with calm, clear communication under pressure.
Must-Haves:
High School Diploma or GED.
Current BLS certification - must remain active for continued employment.
Certification or demonstrated expertise in specialized procedures (robotics, joint replacement, etc.), if required.
Physical stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull 125 lbs, and occasionally wear a 10 lb. X-ray apron.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Resilience under pressure and flexibility with shifting schedules or surgical demands.
Self-motivation and sharp time management skills.
