Job summary

Medpace is expanding a Clinical Informatics team and seeks individuals to support data analytics, visualization, and accessibility across clinical operations. You will work with trial managers to validate data products and improve operational efficiency through web apps and dashboards.

The role involves evaluating study data needs, building Shiny/Streamlit apps, and collaborating with software engineers on enterprise solutions. Training will cover infectious disease and data product development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in informatics, CS/engineering, biomedical engineering, health information, statistics, or related field.
Analytical thinker with great attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects on a sprint schedule.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Programming experience in R.
Work experience with clinical data.
Experience building web apps (Shiny or Streamlit) preferred.
Experience building dashboards (PowerBI, Tableau, or Spotfire) preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate data needs for projects and recommend strategy by study design.
Collaborate with operational/medical leads on innovative data products (Shiny apps).
Contribute to internal R package development for cross-department work.
Interact with relational data for queries, wrangling, analysis, and reporting.
Develop algorithms to describe, classify, and predict trial outcomes.
Support departmental process improvement initiatives.
