Job summary

Capital Vacations in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to uphold the highest cleaning standards across our resort properties. You will lead a team, direct day-to-day housekeeping tasks, and ensure safe, clean, and inviting accommodations for Owners and guests.

The role requires at least two years of housekeeping supervisory experience, strong leadership and communication skills, flexibility for scheduling, and a passion for cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a housekeeping supervisor.
• Demonstrable leadership skills.
• Flexibility needed for scheduling purposes.
• High energy with a passion for housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Directs and performs housekeeping duties from cleaning to laundry and inventory of housewares.
• Establishes schedules and daily work plans.
• Trains and coaches staff in laundry and housekeeping.
• Checks equipment and keeps it in working order.
• Cooperates with other departments to deliver quality service.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
• Orders cleaning materials and manages budget.
• Responds quickly to guest and department requests.
• Develops positive team relationships.

The Housekeeping Supervisor maintains the highest cleaning standards for Resort property and unit interiors to ensure Owners and guests enjoy safe, clean, and attractive accommodations with friendly and attentive service.

• Responsibilities listed may not apply to all locations
• Directs and performs all housekeeping duties from cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, linen replacement to laundry, and inventory management of housewares
• Performs or assists with cleaning duties as necessary
• Establishes an employee work schedule and plans daily work assignments
• Trains and coaches employee in laundry and housekeeping
• Checks equipment to ensure that it is in working order
• Cooperates with the housekeeping staff and other departments to provide quality service to all Owners and guests
• Controls lost and found articles
• Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work needed
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the storage area
• Orders cleaning materials and maintains a budget
• Responds quickly to requests from guests and other departments
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Practices safe working conditions under the Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines, including Bloodborne Pathogens
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships within the team
• Counsels and disciplines employees
• All other duties as assigned
