Job summary

Weatherford is seeking an experienced Repair & Maintenance Technician to handle hands-on inspection, repair, and refurbishment of field tools. You’ll work with Weatherford facilities and equipment to prepare tools for next assignments, covering the full lifecycle from receipt to final refurbishing.

Senior roles may lead teams and oversee tasks, ensuring safety, quality, and documentation in line with training and competence.

Qualifications

• Six to eight+ years in Oil & Gas or related field.
• High School Diploma required.
• Basic computer skills and equipment operation knowledge.
• Must live within commuting distance of San Antonio or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Participates in daily operations and safety meetings; reports issues promptly.
• Maintains equipment, facilities, and clean, safe work areas.
• Repairs machines using hand tools and precision measuring devices.
• Inspects parts for dimensional changes with calipers/micrometers.
• Follows maintenance processes: disassembly, cleaning, testing, painting, assembly.
• Documents maintenance using required forms and work orders.
• Operates lifting equipment and transport of tools; forklift/crane certified.
• Receives and ships tools; ensures paperwork matches procedures.
• Senior roles may lead teams and set work allocation schedules.
