Job summary

Intelligent Wellhead Systems (IWS), a Pason company, is seeking a full-time Shop Assistant to join our Denver, CO team. The role focuses on supporting daily shop operations, maintenance, inventory and shipping tasks in a manufacturing environment.

The position runs Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm with overtime as needed. Candidates should be physically capable, safety‑minded, and eager to learn IWS equipment and systems in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist Shop Supervisor in daily upkeep and maintenance of the facility and its equipment.
• Assist with shipping and receiving responsibilities as needed.
• Manage inventory, counting, scanning and replenishing as required.
• Perform assets/inventory audit on a regular basis.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely.
• General labor assisting with basic assembly.
• General housekeeping with a daily cleanliness checklist.
• Various other tasks associated with maintaining field equipment.
• Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm; overtime may be required.

The Role

Intelligent Wellhead Systems (IWS) is seeking a full-time Shop Assistant to join our team in Denver, CO. IWS designs, tests, manufactures, and deploys proprietary and unique digital safety and efficiency workflow technologies for oil and gas well completion operations. The company’s inVision™ Technology Platform helps oil and gas and oilfield services companies reduce operating risk, lower the total cost of operations, and improve uptime. Originally founded in Canada in 2012, and headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Intelligent Wellhead Systems Inc. IWS is seeking a highly motivated Shop Assistant to support our Denver Team, reporting to the Reliability and Maintenance Supervisor. IWS is a niche within the oil and gas sector, providing ample room for growth and career development. The candidate should have prior experience working in a manufacturing or a Repair and Maintenance facility setting. The selected candidate will be expected to learn the ins and outs of IWS’ technology. The facility is located in Denver, CO. This position is generally a Monday to Friday schedule, with overtime as required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist Shop Supervisor in daily the upkeep and maintenance of the facility and its equipment
• Assist with shipping and receiving responsibilities as needed
• Manage inventory, counting, scanning and replenishing as required
• Perform assets/inventory audit on regular basis
• Operating heavy equipment such as forklifts safely
• General labor assisting with basic assembly
• General housekeeping involves a daily checklist ensuring shop cleanliness and efficiency
• Various other tasks associated with maintaining field equipment
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• This position is from Monday to Friday, with the working hours falling between 7:00am – 5:00pm
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.

IWS Record-keeping System

• Asset Tracking adherence as per IWS guidelines.
• Complete shipping manifests; create shipments in Dynamics for all the shipments: make sure to acknowledge the incoming shipments.
• Complete time entries and service tasks as required.
• Track and update asset revision properties in the IWS system of record.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work with conflicting priorities while under pressure and managing deadlines
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements according to business needs
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment
• Exceptional organization skills
• Strong communication skills, written, verbal, and social
• Valid driver’s license
• Forklift certifications preferred
• Evening and weekend availability are required
• Repetitive work and motions include, but are not limited to, working with electrical cables, cleaning, and power washing.
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
• Goal-oriented and safety-conscious
• Ability to follow directions
• Willing to learn IWS equipment/systems

Travel Requirements

• Up to 25% of the time to IWS other shop locations, for example IWS North Dakota shop

Physical, Safety & Work Environment

• Ability to lift 45 pounds, vertical from floor to 60inches from floor
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility
• Ability to crouch/squat 5 or more times daily
• Ability to use hand tools over-head performing tasks 5 or more times per day.
