Job summary

Cordant Health Solutions in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Research & Development Scientist to lead method development and validation for toxicology testing in urine and oral fluid. You will design studies, apply EMIT and LC-MS/MS platforms, and collaborate with QA to ensure production-ready methods.

Responsibilities include refinement of extraction techniques, troubleshooting instrument and method-related issues, and maintaining thorough documentation to support audits and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical/biochemical/toxicology/forensic science field is required.
• 3+ years of laboratory experience in toxicology/forensic/clinical settings, including hands-on LC-MS/MS development and validation.
• Hands-on experience with Agilent and/or Waters LC-MS/MS platforms; EMIT immunoassay knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate new testing methods for drugs of abuse in urine and oral fluid using EMIT immunoassay and LC-MS/MS.
• Apply and refine extraction methods including liquid-liquid extraction, crash and shoot, and dilute and shoot.
• Provide troubleshooting and optimization of existing assays in collaboration with QA and Scientific Director.
