Job summary

Reckitt in Salt Lake City is seeking a driven Pilot Plant Technician to perform routine pilot trials, manage trial materials, and maintain equipment in the R&D Pilot Plant. You will document batch records, oversee raw material inventories, and support calibration and maintenance tasks within GMP guidelines.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma with 0–3 years’ experience, familiarity with pilot plant operations, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Pilot Plant equipment operations and maintenance (Blending, Compression, Softgel Encapsulation and Hard-Shell Encapsulation) is preferred.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs independently and perform routine lifting.
• Self-motivated and able to think independently and solve problems, and to work with minimal supervision in a regulated environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with MS Windows, Access, Excel, and Word.
• Familiar with documentation requirements for cGMP and 21 CFR Part 111 compliance a plus.

• Perform routine Pilot trials for sponsored projects (NPD/EPD/Cost savings/ Quality improvement) in R&D Pilot Plant at the Reckitt Salt Lake City- USA site.
• Document and maintain batch records according to established SOPs and GDPs.
• Managing the inventory of Raw Materials, Intermediates and Finished Products.
• Supporting Pilot Plant equipment calibration, preventative maintenance.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and local regulatory requirements.
• Participate in technical discussions with feedback on trial results.
• Support the continuous improvement of the pilot plant operations with respect to new technologies, equipment, procedures and/or processes.
• Potential to learn Formulation, Equipment Qualifications, Forklift Certification, or other assignments as needed.

About The Role

This position involves routine pilot plant trials, organizing trial materials, sampling trial materials, maintaining equipment, and area cleaning.

US salary ranges

USD $62,000.00 - $92,000.00
