Job summary

Materion Corporation is seeking a motivated lab technician to join our materials science team in Georgia. You will assist in experiment planning and execution, operate and maintain instrumentation, and manage data and reports to support product development.

The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, meticulous lab upkeep, and cross-functional collaboration with engineers and quality teams. A relevant associate degree or equivalent experience is required.

Basic Requirements

• Associate’s degree or high school diploma/GED with 1–3 years of relevant lab experience in materials science, chemistry, or engineering.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience with coating formulations, sample characterizations (optical, peel adhesion, thickness), and analytical messaging.
• Familiarity with statistical methods and data analysis software.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow complex protocols.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
