Job summary

eTeam seeks an R&D Technician for the Colorado Springs, CO 80907 site to support electronics prototyping and manufacturing processes. You will work across R&D and manufacturing to design and implement processes and build prototypes for new products.

Responsibilities include working in an ESD-controlled environment, assembling prototypes, calibrating tests, and maintaining lab equipment, with collaboration in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

Job Title : R&D Technician

Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80907
Duration: 24 Months

Duties: The Colorado Springs NPI Engineering team is multi-disciplinary involving electrical, software, and mechanical activities, working between R&D and Manufacturing to design and implement the manufacturing processes for new products. We build new product prototypes throughout the R&D cycle to enable product development across a variety of teams. Finally, we launch the new manufacturing process into the production site to enable manufacturing and shipments of the new products to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Work in an Electrical Static Discharge (ESD) controlled environment
• Turn on and troubleshoot PCA’s
• Build / assemble full instrument prototypes
• Calibrate and run automated tests on prototypes
• Troubleshoot and repair prototypes
• Build, troubleshoot, and maintain test racks containing electronic test and measurement equipment
• Execute automated performance characterization tests on prototypes at temperature and humidity and collect characterization data
• Help to maintain the NPI Lab environment

Skills:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or NPI environment or equivalent
• General knowledge of electronics and electronics manufacturing
• Experience in electronic mechanical assembly including torque drivers
• Proficient with the Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
