  • Perform wear testing using various fluids supplied by customers.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Setup and run product testing per engineer requirements.
  • Analyze product failure modes and document findings for engineers and customers.
  • Maintain lab test equipment by performing calibrations and repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on test stand equipment.
  • Assemble and disassemble test products for analysis.
  • Maintain and order tools and supplies for the lab.
  • Perform wear testing using various fluids supplied by customers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment in all lab areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience

1-3 years of experience working in a fluid power or engineering laboratory is desirable. The individual must have good mechanical skills and be familiar with close tolerance machinery.

Licenses/Certificates

Fluid Power Industrial Hydraulic Technician Certification preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering designs, drawings, test results, and related information. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to management and customers.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect and research data, establish facts, use intuition and experience to draw valid conclusions.

Physical Demands

Occasionally required to reach above shoulders, climb, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Able to assemble/disassemble test setups and come into contact with operating fluids.

Other Qualifications

Ability to operate office and lab equipment, including CNC machines, hoists, cranes, and measurement devices.
