Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join our Accounting Methods and Credit Services practice in New York. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to conduct R&D tax credit consulting, lead client interviews, and perform technical tax research.

You will communicate with client personnel, manage multiple projects, and draft technical memoranda and IRS-related documents. Strong communication and travel readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of tax experience in public accounting or corporate taxation.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Access with internet research experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to client locations.
• Experience with R&D deduction and credits (IRC 174 & 41) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D tax credit consulting engagements with client interviews and discussions.
• Perform tax technical research and develop business and industry expertise.
• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, including client interviews, computations, data gathering, and resource coordination.
• Draft opinion letters, responses to IRS inquiries, IRS ruling requests and technical memoranda.
