Job summary

Advantage Technical in Waltham, MA is seeking an R&D Systems Engineering Technician to support development and testing of innovative medical device technologies. This hands-on role involves operating lab equipment, performing verification and validation activities, and collaborating with engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

You will analyze test data, prepare technical reports, and ensure compliance with quality and safety procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical education preferred.
5+ years in product testing, engineering support, medical devices, or regulated industry.
Experience with laboratory instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
Familiarity with Linux-based systems and command-line tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform product verification, validation, and system testing activities.
Set up and operate laboratory equipment, test fixtures, and computer-controlled test systems.
Conduct hands-on testing of electro-mechanical products and assemblies.
Collect, analyze, and document test data and results.
Troubleshoot technical issues and support root cause investigations.
Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and laboratory procedures.
Maintain laboratory organization, equipment readiness, and testing materials.
