Job summary

Selkirk Sport is seeking an R&D Systems Developer to design and build software, automations and AI tools used by our R&D team in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. You’ll work on-site with engineers and technicians who rely on your tools to test and iterate paddle innovations.

The role requires 3–5 years of software or systems development, experience across stacks, APIs, databases, React and MCP servers, and a passion for turning ideas into practical, fast-moving solutions that help push product quality

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of software/systems development experience
Proven ability to learn new platforms and switch technologies quickly
Experience with APIs, databases and integrating systems and data sources
Experience building MCP servers, AI tools or LLM-based applications
Familiarity with React or similar front-end frameworks
Background in sporting goods, consumer products, manufacturing or R&D

Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain internal tools, scripts and interfaces (often in React) for testing and product development workflows
Create AI tools and MCP servers, plus connectors for secure data access
Build integrations and data flows linking R&D tools with company systems and dashboards for engineering and quality teams
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to gather requirements and rapidly ship working tools
Partner with Business Tools team on code quality, standards and architecture
