Role Overview

The Solutions Architect, Senior Manager defines and drives end-to-end solution architecture for cross-functional R&D initiatives focused on clinical development, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance. Translates business needs into secure, scalable, interoperable solution designs to enable study execution, evidence generation, submissions, and pharmacovigilance operations.

Accountabilities

• Define and advocate target architecture, vision, and ways of working for R&D solutions.
• Support solution evaluation and selection (buy vs. build, vendor/product fit, sizing/estimation).
• Lead technical/solution design from discovery through delivery alignment.
• Create architecture artifacts (target-state/solution architecture, integration and data flow designs) and support design reviews.
• Ensure alignment to architecture standards using common platforms, shared services, and reusable patterns.
• Provide architecture guidance to resolve design risks, technical debt, and alignment to IT/R&D strategies.
• Develop architectures for regulated constraints (validation, privacy, interoperability, ecosystem dependencies).
• Architect information delivery, advanced analytics, and BI for clinical/regulatory/safety outcomes.
• Stay current on trends in clinical research, regulatory tech, pharmacovigilance, data, and AI/ML; make compliant recommendations.
• Ensure privacy/security/data protection compliance and promote auditability and traceability.

• 5+ years in technology roles with progressive responsibility; pharmaceutical/biotech or other regulated industry experience preferred.

Benefits

• U.S. base salary range: $137,000.00 - $215,270.00.
• May be eligible for short- and/or long-term incentives; medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, well-being benefits; up to 80 hours sick time/year and up to 120 hours paid vacation for new hires.
