Job summary

The Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University seeks Signal Processing Research and Development Engineers for our Sensor Analysis and Data Modeling (SADM) Department. Role involves on-site work in State College, PA, with periodic travel to remote locations.

You will develop prototype algorithms, analyze data quality, and support field testing while collaborating with engineers, scientists, and military personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science is required.
• Experience in signal processing and data analysis is essential.
• Ability to absorb information from multiple fields and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Integrate subject matter expertise across engineers, scientists, and military personnel.
• Develop prototype algorithms for analyses and data-product generation.
• Evaluate algorithm performance and data quality for feasibility of new approaches.
• Support field testing and provide remote or in-person analysis and troubleshooting.
• Deliver and communicate results clearly to stakeholders and software engineers.
