Job summary

Henkel is seeking a Senior SHE Leader for its Consumer Brands R&D site in the United States. You will provide leadership on safety, environmental, and compliance matters, ensuring policies are followed and regulations met.

You will drive risk assessments, audits, trainings, and multi-site SHE initiatives to sustain a safe, compliant workplace. The role requires a Master’s in a related field and 5+ years of SHE experience, with CSP/CIH or similar certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• College degree (Masters preferred) in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant SHE experience in R&D, manufacturing, or engineering.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with experience managing and working in cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• CSP, CIH, or ISO Lead Auditor certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to R&D site on safety, environmental, and compliance matters.
• Oversees and controls the implementation of standards, policies and guidelines within R&D scope and ensures compliance with local regulations and Henkel Standards.
• Responsible for internal and external reporting for safety, environmental, and compliance matters.
• Coordinate SHE risk assessments, audits, assessments, certifications, and corrective action programs.
• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of the R&D SHE Management System.
• Support incident management, emergency preparedness, and risk mitigation.
• Develop SHE training and capability-building initiatives.
• Lead Regional SHE projects and stakeholder engagement across R&D.
