JOB SUMMARY

The R&D Scientist I plays a critical role in driving experimental execution and innovation within NGS platforms for diagnostic enhancements. This position requires skillsets in experimental design, execution, data interpretation, and technical documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

• Design and perform specific experiments in support of R&D projects in NGS, Molecular or Cell Biology platforms.
• Work with clinical team to validate and transfer tests to clinical diagnostic workflows
• Work with Product Development Team to plan and execute R&D strategies
• Assist with laboratory training and education of external team
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Perform clinical tests as needed after proper training
• Prepare validation materials for review in adherence to regulatory agencies and requirements
• Conduct routine lab duties as assigned by R&D supervisor

Required

• Education: Ph.D. in Biological Sciences
• Experience: Experience in molecular biology techniques.

COMPETENCIES

• Demonstrated success in technical documentation
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during test design, optimization and validation
• Bioinformatics skills and knowledge is a plus
