Job summary

IQVIA Laboratories in Ithaca, NY is seeking an Associate Scientist, Sample Preparation to support routine preparation activities that enable downstream analysis of biological samples. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Life Sciences discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
• Proficiency with pipetting techniques.
• Working knowledge of GLP and regulatory standards.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control, and hazardous chemical handling.
• Experience with automation or specialized lab equipment.
• Proficiency with routine and some non-routine lab calculations.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine sample preparation techniques to support subsequent biological sample analysis.
• Perform extractions from biological matrices, tissue preparation, or purification.
• Prepare solutions and reagents and troubleshoot experiments.
• Document testing, observations, calculations, and project work per SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Identify and escalate potential performance errors or unusual results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory; uphold 6S standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and communicate clearly.
