Keysight is seeking an NPI Engineer to apply electrical engineering and measurement knowledge to RF and microwave test equipment development. You will work with an instrumental product team, balancing hands‑on hardware testing with software development and test automation.

The role involves collaborating with R&D, Marketing, Sales, Customer Support and Production to design new models, calibrate algorithms, validate tests, and support production readiness throughout the product life cycle.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with RF/uW circuit experience.
• Strong test and measurement knowledge in RF, microwave theory and applications.
• Experience developing software in an object-oriented style.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As an NPI Engineer, you will apply your Electrical Engineering and measurement knowledge to a variety of focused hands‑on projects. You will be part of an instrumental product development team that designs, develops, and tests RF and microwave test equipment.

We are looking for a self‑motivated engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced development environment and is equally comfortable writing production test code as well as troubleshooting HW issues. The ideal candidate is one who is equally comfortable with hands‑on hardware testing and software development/test automation.

Your job responsibilities include the following while working with a multi‑discipline team, including R&D, Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, & Production.

• Collaborate with R&D and marketing to developnew product models and features.
• Design and implement calibration algorithms.
• Designs, develops, debugs, evaluate and executes validation and verification tests.
• Designs, develops, debugs and turn‑on test boards and test fixtures for the purpose of Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
• Manage instrument hardware and the measurement, characterization, and calibration processes used during the NPI development phase and into production.
• Design and/or modify test stations, analyze test data andmake product specificationrecommendations.
• Create technical documentation.
• Review/Evaluate and participate in setting production line specifications based on statistical data analysis.
• Evaluates and specifies components that make up the products and extends product life via parts replacement.
• Manage and guide the transition of products and manufacturing processes into production and through the entire life cycle of the product.
• After product release, continue to manage engineering responsibilities for the system, hardware and production processes.

Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills:

• BS or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, withexperience in RF and uW circuits/products development with measurement algorithm and validation test development experience
• Extensive experience and knowledge in test & measurements with focus on RF and Microwave theory and applications
• Experience in developing SW in object-oriented programming.
• Desire to work with worldwide groups and across teams of engineers to achieveobjectives.
• Proficient at testing and troubleshooting RF, analog, digital circuits.

Desired Requirements:

• Ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts in both written and oralform.
• Propensity for engaging in proactive issue discovery and resolution actions andactivities.
• Measurement experience in one or more of the following areas, signal generators, Signal analyzers, I/Q generation, time domain analysis and vector network analysis
• Experience working in a manufacturing and/or product developmentrole.
• Experience in Statistical Analysis, Six Sigma and process improvement
• Ability to formulate, implement and debug measurement algorithms in modern, object-oriented test developmentenvironments.
• Proficient in calculating measurementuncertainties.

Santa Rosa, CA MIN $76,000.00 - MAX $155,000.00

Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed above.
