Job summary

Keysight in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a highly motivated Software R&D Intern to design and implement an automated QA and regression testing framework for complex engineering software. You will work with Jenkins pipelines, SI/CD tooling, and DevOps practices to continuously validate software releases and quickly identify defects.

The role involves creating automated test suites, dashboards, and reports, and collaborating with development teams during Agile sprints.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Junior year of a Bachelor's program completed at minimum.
• Experience programming in one or more modern languages (C#, Python, Java, or C++).
• Familiarity with Git and software testing concepts (unit/integration/regression).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for desktop and web applications.
• Create automated functional, integration, and regression test suites.
• Integrate test execution into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop scripts to automate test setup, execution, and reporting.
• Analyze results and work with dev teams to reproduce and resolve defects.
• Build dashboards to track quality metrics and test coverage.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability of test automation.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile development activities.
