Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Purchasing Associate in St. Paul, MN, onsite from 9am to 5pm for a 6+ month engagement.

You will support R&D Product Development with inventory, purchasing, and shipping/receiving for computer hardware, workstations, servers and related components. The role requires hands-on purchasing and inventory experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple internal teams to ensure timely delivery at optimal cost.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in purchasing and inventory management in a process oriented environment.
• Proficient in Excel pivot tables, formulas and reporting.
• Familiar with computer hardware and components.
• Strong writing and reporting skills; organized and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform and administer purchasing activities to assure that all production parts and materials are delivered within required delivery parameters.
• Conduct and document procurement activities and negotiations to support prudent buying decisions.
• Maintain ongoing interface with various departments to assure materials meet requirements at lowest cost.
• Monitor open order reports.
• Take corrective action on Monthly Reporting Factors.
• Lead assigned projects.
• Develop Excel spreadsheets as a reporting mechanism to management.
