Job summary

Intertwine Associates is seeking a Business Financial Manager to support research and development programs. You will oversee budgets, forecasts, and administrative coordination across science, technology, and healthcare initiatives, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and organizational policies.

Collaborate with program managers, scientists, and engineers to deliver timely, accurate financial reporting and strategic insights.

Qualifications

• Experience with ARPA model (ARPA-H, DARPA, ARPA-E, IARPA).
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• 5+ years in federal government financial management, preferably in an R&D environment.
• Ability to build, manage, and track complex program budgets and funding justifications.
• Experience with grants, contracts, cooperative agreements, and other funding mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of federal financial regulations, accounting principles, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with financial modeling tools and resource planning systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reports and presentations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance; U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, track, and execute multi-year program budgets and funding justifications.
• Provide strategic financial insights and forecasts for large-scale R&D programs.
• Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for decision-makers.
• Coordinate with program managers, scientists, engineers, and staff to ensure compliance.
• Operate with minimal guidance while balancing multiple priorities.
