Job summary

Bunge is seeking an Associate Product Development Scientist in St. Charles, MO to support sample room operations, pilot plant trials, and analytical testing across DSC, GC, HPLC, PLM, and related techniques.

The role emphasizes hands-on experimentation, careful data recording, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in R&D, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations. You will assist in formulation scale-up, maintain a safe lab, and contribute to data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM with 1–5 years of experience or Master's with 0–2 years.
• Hands-on lab or pilot plant experience preferred.
• Familiarity with analytical instrumentation and experimental design.
• Strong organization and multi-tasking with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as backup or lead for sample room and pilot plant operations.
• Perform analytical testing using DSC, GC, HPLC, PLM and related techniques.
• Execute experiments under project leads with accurate record-keeping.
• Assist in formulation scale-up for pilot plant and production trials.
• Collaborate with R&D, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory and Operations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment.
• Support data collection, analysis and reporting for decision-making.
• Demonstrate initiative in troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Uphold ethics, confidentiality and scientific integrity.
