Job summary

BD’s Global Procurement Organization seeks an R&D Procurement Manager for the Pharmacy Automation business. You will partner with Advanced Procurement Engineers, R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive procurement-enabled innovation throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, procurement, business administration, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier development.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as embedded procurement partner within cross-functional development teams to enable procurement-driven innovation.
• Engage suppliers early in design process to leverage their expertise and capabilities.
• Drive rapid prototyping and supplier collaboration to shorten development cycles.
• Develop and maintain a global supplier network for automation, precision mechanics, and electromechanical systems.
• Lead supplier qualifications, technical assessments, and capability evaluations.
