Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical field; B.S. preferred.
• 5+ years of R&D lab or pilot plant experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with RO/NF pilot testing is a plus.

DuPont is seeking an R&D Pilot Plant Technician to join our team at the DuPont Water Solutions site in Edina, MN. DuPont Water Solutions is a global leader in technologies that enable water purification, reuse in industrial processes, recovery of critical resources, and sustainable liquid separations. The R&D Technician supports both new technology development and manufacturing of Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Nanofiltration (NF) products. This role provides pilot plant scale experimental development and data interpretation to support cross-functional teams in R&D, TS&D, and Manufacturing Technology to address customer applications and challenges.

This is an on-site role based in Edina, MN. Relocation for this role is not supported.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine pilot plant scale experiments for RO/NF membrane development
• Operate and maintain existing equipment and design and set up new equipment as needed.
• Develop, validate, and continuously improve standard operating procedures and safety documentation.
• Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams with diverse backgrounds and perspectives
• Assist and participate in the inventive process with other professionals, providing technical solutions in the development of new membranes, modules, manufacturing processes and test methods.
• Ensure safe operations and maintain compliance with environmental, heath, and safety standards.
• Actively support site and department safety initiatives.
• Document and report experimental data using PC-based applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related scientific or technical field (B.S. degree in these fields preferred)
• 5+ years of R&D lab or Pilot Plant scale industrial experience acceptable in lieu of Associates degree
• Working knowledge of laboratory techniques and general chemical process equipment and maintenance is a plus
• Ability to work independently, from task initiation through data analysis and reporting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

The Pay range for this role is $27.93 - $43.89 Hourly
