Job summary

Bob Evans Farms, Inc. invites motivated students to join a 10-week Packaging Engineering internship within the Research & Development Packaging team in Ohio.

You will work across lab, pilot plant and manufacturing environments to validate packaging performance and support data-driven decisions. You will gain experience creating packaging databases, managing specifications in Specright, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver practical packaging solutions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Interest in packaging and R&D processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Enrolled in a program aligned with CPG industry.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of packaging initiatives by working in lab, pilot plant and manufacturing environments.
• Validate packaging performance through lab and plant line trials.
• Create databases for package tests and upload specifications into the Specright platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify packaging solutions and troubleshoot packaging.
• Coordinate packaging samples for internal and external needs.
• Analyze design/data components and translate into technical judgments.
• Travel to BEF plants/locations.
• Lead or contribute to intern projects with real business impact.
• Participate in mentorship and intern events.
