Job summary

Oetiker Tool Corporation, a global leader in hand tools, is seeking an R&D Mechanical Engineer to transform customer needs into innovative hand tools through design, prototyping, testing, and production development.

You will lead analyses, support Six Sigma initiatives, and work with a global R&D team to deliver high-quality products for diverse industries. Strong English communication and a technical mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as R&D Mechanical Engineer; consumer products a plus.
• Higher degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with strong English.
• Experience applying design for Six Sigma, Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new mechanical hand tools (design & industrialization).
• Create concepts, prototypes, detailed drawings, assembly docs.
• Execute tests and evaluate results; improve test equipment and procedures.
• Perform engineering analysis including FEA and tolerance analysis.
• Assist with resolution of customer quality issues.
• Suggest product and department improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Apply advanced engineering tools and risk management methods.
• Define technical requirements and track fulfillment.
